After finding them … More online on Sunday, I dropped them a message requesting an urgent appointment. I was expecting a response early in the week but received a response via a phone call on Sunday afternoon and booked an appointment for the Tuesday morning. Very impressive!On the morning of my appointment, front of house (apologies, I forgot the name), immediately put me at ease with general conversation and then about myself. I was taken to Sarah, the practitioner who again listened with interest and immediately diagnosed my issue in both ears. My right ear was so full that wax had attached to my ear drum. Lisa was consulted and they made the decision to irrigate my right ear to clear of wax. All of this was done within 20 minutes and maximum care. I was so at ease there as they explained what they were doing and why.I will visit at least twice a year to get checked out from now on and I highly, highly recommend this place. • I took my 8 year old to see Leek Hearing Centre. He has been with paediatric audiology for many years and also wears hearing aids. However, if he has wax … More in his ears when he has his hearing check, his hearing aids will be set up to accommodate the wax and then if it clears they need setting up again. His hearing had consistently dropped and I was unsure what had caused it, so made an appointment to find out if that was the problem. They were so lovely with him, he sat still in a chair and after a few minutes Clare pulled out a long worm of wax and he announced he could hear again. It made such a difference and afterwards when walking down the street outside he was really excited that he could hear his footsteps on the street! I now also know his hearing aids will be set up correctly at our next appointment. I would really recommend, particularly a couple of days before children's audiology appointments to make sure. It has made such a difference to him and they made it very easy.
